Captain (retired) Sydney Keith Smyth, O.B.E., R.N. (4 January, 1884 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Belfast.

Smyth was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1905.

Smyth was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1913.

Smyth was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1918.

Smyth was promoted to the rank of Captain on 12 February, 1930.

World War II

Smyth was granted the acting rank of Captain on 10 November, 1939.
