H.M.S. Blanche was one of nine "B" Class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy.

There was an earlier cruiser named Blanche launched in 1909 and sold in 1921.

Service

Commissioned at Portsmouth on 9 June, 1931 for duty with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean[1] that would stretch to at least early 1933.[2]

By mid-1934, she was with the First Anti-Submarine Flotilla out of Portland.[3]

Re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 7 October 1936.[4]
