H.M.S. Valentine was one of five "V" class flotilla leaders.

Service

Valentine was assigned to be a second flotilla leader for the Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla in July, 1917.[6]

She was re-commissioned on 15 August, 1920.[7]

Valentine re-commissioned at Chatham on 15 September, 1924 for service in the Second Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[8]

She was paid off into Dockyard Control at the Nore on 13 May, 1927.[9]

Valentine re-commissioned at Sheerness on 19 September, 1927 for service in the Second Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[10]

Re-commissioned at Malta on 10 November, 1930 for continued service in the Second Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[11]

She commissioned at Chatham on 8 July, 1932.[12]

She re-commissioned at Devonport on 21 May, 1936 and was placed into the Reserve Fleet.[13]
