Admiral SIR Douglas Blake Fisher, K.C.B., C.B.E., R.N., Retired (23 October, 1890 – 4 October, 1963) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Rear-Admiral (later Admiral) William B. Fisher, C.B..

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 August, 1912.

Post-War

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 August, 1920.

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1925.

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1932.

World War II

Fisher was appointed in command of the battleship Warspite in April, 1940.

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 28 July, 1942.

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 20 December, 1945. He was placed on the Retired List on 13 July, 1948.

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Admiral (retired) on 22 June, 1949.
