Rear-Admiral Charles Gordon Brodie (19 January, 1884 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Brodie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 19 July, 1904.[1]
Brodie was lucky to survive the ramming and loss of C 11 by a steamer in 1909.[2]
Brodie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 19 July, 1912.[3]
Brodie was appointed in command of the submarine Thames on 1 January, 1913.[4]
Brodie was promoted to the rank of Commander on 28 June, 1916.[5]
Post-War
Brodie was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1922.[6]
On September 1931, he was superseded in command of the heavy cruiser Berwick by Cecil Nugent Reyne.[7]
Brodie was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 3 August, 1934 and placed on the Retired List the next day in accordance with Order in Council of 9 March, 1914.[8]
