H.M.S. Rainbow was one of twenty Apollo class second-class cruisers completed in the early to mid 1890s.
She was transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy in 1910, becoming H.M.C.S. Rainbow.
Service
She was commissioned on 4 August, 1910 for transfer to Esquimalt for service in the Royal Canadian Navy.Template:RCNL1910-14
