Construction & Service

Repulse was completed with her main battery director in place, but had her secondary battery director system installed in September, 1916 — one month after she entered service.[7]

Recommissioned at Portsmouth on 1 January, 1921.[8]

In 1923, in test firings of her submerged tubes, the torpedoes were discharged at intervals of 105, 154, 198 and 410 seconds.[9]

Re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 31 December, 1924.[10]

Re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 1 January, 1929 for service with the Battle Cruiser Squadron supporting the Atlantic Fleet.[11]

Re-commissioned on 14 October, 1932. In early 1933, she was soon to reduce, being left in the care of Commander P. L. Neville.[12]

Completed to full complement on 14 April, 1936.[13]
