H.M.S. Gabriel was one of seven Lightfoot class flotilla leaders built for the Royal Navy.
Service
Gabriel joined the Grand Fleet's Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla as a flotilla leader in June, 1916.[6]
In July, 1918, she joined the Twentieth Destroyer Flotilla as the leader of its Slow Division, operating out of the Humber.[7] By war's end, Gabriel was equipped to carry an indeterminate number of "M" sinker mines.[8]
She was reduced to C. & M. Party at Devonport, 15 October, 1919.[9]
