Captain (retired) Charles Hinton Knowles, D.S.O., R.N. (16 December, 1885 – 5 September, 1954) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Reverend J. H. Knowles was born in Srinagar, Kashmir.
Knowles was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1908.
Knowles was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1916.[1]
Post-War
Knowles was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1922.
Knowles was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 4 June, 1932.
