Vice-Admiral Albert Charles Scott, C.B.E, R.N., Retired (18 January, 1872 – 16 March, 1969) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

Scott was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1911.[1]

He was appointed in command of the scout cruiser Blonde on 5 July, 1913.[2] When the war started, the Blonde was attached to the Fourth Battle Squadron.[3]

Scott commanded the light cruiser Dublin at the Battle of Jutland, screening the Battle Cruiser Force as part of the Second Light Cruiser Squadron.

Retirement

Scott was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 2 May, 1922, vice Greatorex. He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 3 May.[4] He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 2 July, 1927.[5]
