H.M.S. K 4 was one of eighteen submarines of the "K" class.

Service

On 18 November, 1917, K 4 collided with K 1 off the Danish coast while the flotilla was cruising in line ahead in company with the scout cruiser Blonde. K 1's damage was enough that it was decided to scuttle her to preclude capture, though no lives were lost.

K 4 would collide again on 31 January, 1918, being struck by K 6 and K 7 in the great misadventure dubbed the Battle of May Island. K 4 was lost with all aboard.
