H.M.S. Comet was one of twenty destroyers of the Acorn class.

Service

Comet served in the Second Destroyer Flotilla under her second captain, Commander Kerrison Kiddle, until being paid off on 4 June, 1913.[6]

Comet exploded while being towed following a collision. This caused many to think she was torpedoed, but no submarines claimed doing so.
