Thomas Hope Troubridge
Vice-Admiral SIR Thomas Hope Troubridge, K.C.B., D.S.O.* (1 February, 1895 – 29 September, 1949) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Rear-Admiral (later Admiral) Ernest C. T. Troubridge.
Troubridge was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1916.[1]
Troubridge was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1924.[2]
Troubridge was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1929.[3]
Troubridge was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1934.[4]
World War II
Troubridge was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 12 January, 1943.[5]
Troubridge was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 31 January, 1947.[6]
Troubridge was informed on 18 August, 1949 that he was to be placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 15 October, but he died of a cerebral haemorrhage on 29 September.[7]
