Robert Lancelot Fortescue Hubbard

Commander R.N.R. Robert Lancelot Fortescue Hubbard (16 March, 1887 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

In 1909, Hubbard was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal for saving life from drowning.[1]

Hubbard was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 24 July, 1912.[2]

In 1917, Hubbard suffered an adverse report for a collision but also was mentioned in despatches.

Hubbard was appointed in command of the destroyer Spiteful in April, 1918.[3]

Post-War

Hubbard was again mentioned in despatches in 1919 and was demobilised on 30 March, 1919.[4]

Hubbard was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 24 July, 1920.[5]

Hubbard was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 31 December, 1925.[6]
