Reginald Heber Thornton

Captain Reginald Heber Thornton, (9 July, 1845 – 2 May, 1887) served in the Royal Navy. Another man of the same name born in 1900 also served in the navy, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Life & Career

Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant dated 29 March, 1866.

Promoted to the rank of Commander dated 1 November, 1876.

Promoted to the rank of Captain dated 30 June, 1886, Thornton was placed on half-pay and died about one year later.
