Commander Henry Blake Gellibrand, R.N., Retired (4 October, 1874 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Gellibrand was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1896.
Gellibrand was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1904.
Retired at his own request on 18 June 1909.
Gellibrand was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Commander on 4 October, 1914.
During the Great War, Gellibrand was appointed to the Staff of S.N.O., Inverness on 15 October 1916. On 13 November, he was superseded and sent to Portsmouth to take command of Redoubtable. He remained in that capacity until he was demobilised on 20 January, 1919.
