Frederick Robertson Parham

Admiral SIR Frederick Robertson Parham, K.C.B., C.B.E., D.S.O. (9 January, 1901 – 20 Maarch, 1991) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

After passing out of the Training Establishment, Parham served in the battleship Malaya from 9 January 1917 through 2 January, 1919.

Parham was awarded the Goodenough Medal for being the Sub-Lieutenant who achieved the highest gunnery examination for the year and who also achieved a first-class certificate in seamanship.

Parham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1920.

Parham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1928.

Parham was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1934.

World War II

Parham was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1939.

Parham was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 July, 1949.

Parham was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 15 May, 1952.

Parham was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 29 February, 1956.
