Rear-Admiral (retired) Frederic Proby Doughty, (28 July, 1834 – ) served in the Royal Navy. His first name is spelled "Frederick" at The National Archives, which may be the correct spelling.
Life & Career
Doughty was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 October, 1855.[1]
Doughty was promoted to the rank of Commander on 26 June, 1868.[2]
Doughty was promoted to the rank of Captain on 14 May, 1875.[3]
Doughty was placed on the Retired List on account of age on 28 July, 1889 and promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 5 August, 1890.[4]
