Captain (retired) Eric John Shelley, R.N. (1 August, 1888 – 24 November, 1952) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Shelley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1910.
Shelley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1912.
Shelley was appointed in command of the destroyer Tasmania on 16 January, 1919.[1]
Shelley was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1924.
Shelley served as executive officer in the light cruiser H.M.S. Durban on the China Station from 1927-29.
Shelley was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Captain on 1 August, 1934.
