Commander (retired) Charles Henry Bertram Foxley (13 June, 1881 – 16 November, 1947) served in the Royal Navy and the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Foxley entered the Royal Navy from the Supplementary List at the rank of Lieutenant on 1 September, 1913.
Foxley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 September, 1921.
He commanded the fisheries patrol vessel Liffey from 1 September, 1922 to 4 September, 1924.[1]
He commanded the fisheries patrol vessel Ettrick from 30 January, 1925 until being placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 13 June, 1926.
World War II
Duty at Clyde as Convoy Equipment Inspection Officer.
