Captain Ralph Heathcote, D.S.O. (1 March, 1901 – 1990) served in the Royal Navy. He was likely the son of Henry Ralph Heathcote.

As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.

Life & Career

Heathcote was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 December, 1922.[1]

He was awarded the Ogilvy Medal for the year 1928 for placing first in examinations to qualify as Lieutenant (T).[2]

Heathcote was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 December, 1930.[3]

Heathcote was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1936.[4]

Heathcote was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1943.[5]

Retired 8 July, 1952.[6]
