H.M.S. Powerful (1895)

H.M.S. Powerful was the lead ship of a two-ship class of first-class protected cruisers completed in the late 1890s.

Service

Powerful arrived at Lagos from Gibraltar on 14 August, 1903.[5]

In 1910, Powerful was the best gunnery ship of the eight tested of the Australia Station, scoring 55.65 versus the average 35.455.[6]

In mid-1913, she was in Devonport, attached to the training ship Impregnable.[7]
