H.M.S. Lizard was one of twenty-nine destroyers of the Acheron class.

Radio

She was one of 18 Acheron class destroyers fitted with W/T in 1912, becoming one of 123 destroyers so far fitted with Destroyer Sets.[7]

Service

In mid-1913, Lizard was with the First Destroyer Flotilla.[8]

She fought at the Battle of Jutland as part of the First Destroyer Flotilla,[9] which was tasked with screening the Fifth Battle Squadron.

In January, 1918, she and Tigress fought unsuccessfully at the Battle of Imbros to shield monitors Raglan and M.28 from Goeben and Breslau.

Reduced to C. & M. Party at Devonport on 15 October, 1919.[10]
