Service

Commissioned at Chatham on 15 January, 1926. In mid-1927, she was supposed to be part of the Fourth Cruiser Squadron on the East Indies Station, but was temporarily attached to the China Station.[6]

Emerald was again commissioned at Devonport on 4 September, 1928, and this time was indeed attached to the Fourth Cruiser Squadron on the East Indies Station.[7]

She was commissioned at Devonport 24 March, 1931 for service with the Fourth Cruiser Squadron on the East Indies Station under the command of Captain John Wittewronge Clayton.[8]

Paid off on 15 July, 1933.[9]

Re-commissioned for service with the Fourth Cruiser Squadron on the East Indies Station on 22 April, 1937.[10]

There is clearly a disagreement between Agar and Fegen. Flynn's service record says he served vice Agar.
