H.M.S. Crescent was one of nine Edgar class protected cruisers completed between 1893 and 1896.

Service

Crescent was recommissioned at Queenstown on 10 February, 1913.[7]

She became the first ship to enter the new Rosyth Royal Dockyard via the yard's emergency opening, on 17 March 1916.[8]
