Commissioned: 4 Apr, 1931
Bombed: 1 Jun, 1940
H.M.S. Basilisk was one of nine "B" Class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Basilisk commissioned at Devonport on 15 May, 1931 for service with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[1]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 18 October, 1933 for service with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[2]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 22 September, 1936 under the command of Edward Dangerfield for service with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla of the Home Fleet.[3]
