Captain Edward Chicheley Thornton, D.S.C., R.N., (19 September, 1889 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Thornton was appointed in command of the destroyer Romola on 28 January, 1918.[1]

Thornton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1920.[2]

He was appointed in command of the destroyer Raider on 23 July, 1920.[3]
