Commander Alexander Reginald Chalmer, R.N., Retired (21 December, 1886 – 20 January, 1943) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Perth and raised by his mother.

Chalmer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1908.[1]

Chalmer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1916.

Placed on the Retired List on 1 March, 1919, Chalmer was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 21 December, 1926.

Chalmer's end is murky. He was declared missing on 20 January, 1943 and it was thought that he was killed in an air raid.[2]
