Service
In 1910, Hermes was the best gunnery ship of the three tested at the Cape of Good Hope Station, scoring 75.66 – well ahead of the average 46.930.[8]
Recommissioned on 7 May, 1913 and attached to the Air Service with a number of officers borne for the Naval Wing of the Royal Flying Corps.[9]
