Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. Hugh Ross Mackay, D.S.C., R.N.R. ( – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Mackay was promoted to the rank of Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. on 30 December, 1914.[1]

He engaged an enemy submarine on September 5, 1917. In early 1918, he was placed in command of Vasco da Gama for antisubmarine work near Liverpool.[2]

He was demobilised on 31 October 1919.[3]
