Commander Herbert Henry John Franklin Teale, R.N. (24 June, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Major E. Teale.

Teale was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1909.[1]

Teale served in the light cruiser Cambrian at the outset of the war before being appointed to the third class protected cruiser Psyche on 1 July, 1915 – both ships were serving on the Australian Station. Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1917, Teale was ordered to return to England on 30 October, 1917[2]

Teale was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 15 April, 1927.[3]
