The Second Battle Squadron fielded eight dreadnought battleships under the command of Vice-Admiral Jerram at the Battle of Jutland. The squadron was disposed in two divisions.

2 B.S. comprised the first and second divisions of the Battle Fleet, leading the Royal Navy's 24 dreadnoughts in the following order after deployment into line ahead:[1]
