First and Principal Naval Aide-de-Camp

The First and Principal Naval Aide-de-Camp was an officer of the Royal Navy who attended the British monarch at Court. First appointed by King William IV in 1830, the holder of the position was for the period of the long Nineteenth Century paid £365 a year.
