Rear-Admiral James Powell, D.S.O., R.N. (19 June, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in London, the son of J. Powell, Esq..
Powell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 December, 1908.
Powell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 December, 1916.
Powell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1922[Fact Check]
Powell was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1927.
World War II
Powell was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 30 June, 1940.
In February 1944 he was made Commodore, Second Class Superintendent, Taranto and Italian Ports, vice F[illeg].
