H.M.S. Ormonde was one of twenty-two 24 Class sweeping sloops completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Devonport on 3 March, 1924.[5]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 7 February, 1927.[6]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 3 September, 1929 for work as a surveying vessel.[7]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 16 October, 1931.[8]

Re-commissioned at Plymouth on 26 September, 1933.[9]

She was transferred to Dockyard Control at Devonport on 28 October, 1936[10] for sale on 6 August 1937.
