H.M.S. G 11 was one of fourteen "G" class submarines completed in Britain during the Great War, intended primarily to hunt German U-boats.
Service
A Court Martial into the loss of the submarine attributed no blame on Lieutenant-Commander George Fagan Bradshaw.[7]

- Lieutenant & Commander Charles G. N. Graham, 25 September, 1918 – 16 October, 1918 (sick)
- Lieutenant in Command Richard D. Sandford, 12 October, 1918[8] – 22 November, 1918[9] (temporarily sent ashore with typhoid which would prove terminal)
- Lieutenant-Commander George F. Bradshaw, – 22 November, 1918[10] (temporary, sub lost under his command)
