H.M.S. Kent was one of seven Kent Class cruisers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Commissioned at Chatham on 25 June, 1928,[6] Kent went out to the China Station to relieve Hawkins as flagship.[7]
In mid-1931 she was still with the Fifth Cruiser Squadron on the China Station.[8] She re-commissioned at Chatham on 30 July, 1931.[9]
