Conyngham Charles Denison
{CommRN}} Conyngham Charles Denison, D.S.O. (6 April, 1885 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy. His brother, Edward Conyngham Denison, also served.
Life & Career
Born in Boxglove the son of Captain the Honorable C. Denison, R.N., Conyngham gained two and a half months' time on passing out of Britannia.
Denison was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1907.[1]
Denison was appointed Sub-Lieutenant in Command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 34, soon to be renamed T.B. 034, on 23 July, 1906.[2]
Denison submitted his resignation on 23 July, 1908 in light of urgent private affairs. It was accepted and he was placed on the Emergency List.
Denison was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on the Emergency List on 1 April, 1915.[3]
Denison was appointed in command of the destroyer Swale on 11 January, 1918.[4]
Denison was promoted to the rank of Commander on the Emergency List on 11 November, 1918.[5]
