Captain Cuthbert Coppinger, D.S.C., (28 April, 1890 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Coppinger was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 January, 1912.[1]

Coppinger was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 January, 1920.[2]

Coppinger was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1925.[3]

Coppinger was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1933.[4]

Coppinger was appointed in command of the light cruiser Capetown in June, 1936.

In May, 1941, Coppinger was appointed in command of the battleship Malaya.

He was placed on the Retired List on 28 July, 1942.[5]

Coppinger was reverted to the Retired List on 25 October, 1946.[6]
