Captain (retired) Arthur Patrick Saunders, O.B.E., R.N. (20 October, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Pembroke Dock, the son of a surgeon.

Saunders was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1908.[1]

Saunders served as navigating officer in Europa, Glory and Jupiter until December 1916, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1916.[2]

Saunders was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1920.[3]

Saunders was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 20 October, 1932.[4]

World War II

Mobilised in 1938.[5]
