Commander (retired) Robert Henry Douglas Lane, (15 February, 1896 – 27 April, 1941) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Lane was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1917.[1]
Lane was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1925.[2]
World War II
Lane was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 15 February, 1941. He was killed on 27 April, 1941 when his command, Wryneck was lost.[3]
