H.M. T.B. 87 was one of six first-class torpedo boats of the T.B. 82 class.

Service

She participated in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1894 as one of three boats in Torpedo Division 2 of the Red Side.[5]

In 1895, she was one of thirteen torpedo boats of 125 feet or greater length and four smaller ones stationed in Devonport.[6]

In July 1914, T.B. 87 took part in the Test Mobilisation.[7]

In July, 1918, the boat and three minelayers from the Fast (15th Fleet) Sweeping Flotilla were the only defence forces in Falmouth.[8]

Sold to Stanlee of Dover on 27 March, 1920.[9]
