H.M.S. Diamond was one of five Amethyst Class corvettes completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

She commissioned at Sheerness on 25 October, 1881 to relieve Emerald on the Australian Station.[4]

Re-commissioned at Sydney on 14 January, 1885.[5]
