Commander (retired) Frederick Wilfrid Fogarty Fegen (19 September, 1889 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy. His name, "Wilfrid" is offered in a variety of ways: "William" in the December 1918 Navy List, and as "Wilford" and "Wilfred" in the some readings of his Service Records. We offer that which is clearly indicated in his ADM 196/52 Service Record.
Life & Career
Fegen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 November, 1909.
Fegen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 November, 1917.
Interbellum
Fegen was appointed in command of the destroyer Peregrine on 18 December, 1918.[1]
Fegen was placed on the Retired List at his own request upon Tilbury reducing on 5 August, 1920.
Fegen was promoted to the rank of Commander on the Retired List on 19 September, 1929.
