H.M.S. Wahine was a passenger and cargo liner taken up for service as a minelayer in the Royal Navy.
Service
In October, 1915, she began work as a fleet messenger between Malta and Mudros. In May, 1916, she was converted to a minelayer.[7] She was first listed in the Navy List in this role in August, 1916.[8]
She carried out seventy-six missions, first on the Dover Barrage and later in the Helgoland Bight, operating out of Immingham.[9] She last appeared in the Navy List in March, 1919.[10]

- 160 H.2 or Mark VIII sinker mines[12]
