Rear-Admiral Julian Alleyne Baker, R.N., Retired (23 June, 1848 – 1 June, 1922) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Baker was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 24 June, 1868.[1]

He was placed on the Retired List on account of non-service on 24 June, 1873, but was restored to the Active List by Order in Council of 12 May, 1874.[2]

Baker was promoted to the rank of Commander on 29 June, 1883.[3]

Baker was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1890.[4]

Baker was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 23 June 1898 and was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 October, 1903.[5]
