Captain Thomas Edgar Halsey, D.S.O. (28 November, 1898 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Halsey was a Special Entry to the Training Establishment on 15 September, 1916. He served in the battleship Resolution from February 1917 to 24 June, 1918. After taking a two-week course in Torpedo Control at H.M.S. Vernon, he was appointed to the light cruiser Curacoa in which he served until being appointed to the battleship Iron Duke on 28 February, 1919.[1]

Halsey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1920.[2]

Halsey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 February, 1928.[3]

Halsey was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1933.[4]

World War II

Halsey was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1939.[5]

Halsey was placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 9 December, 1946.[6]
