Commander Alfred Edgar Buchanan, D.S.O. (10 August, 1903 – ) served in the Royal Australian Navy.

Life & Career

Buchanan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 6 July, 1925.[1]

Buchanan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1933.[2]

World War II

Buchanan was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1939.[3]

Buchanan was granted the acting rank of Captain on 22 August, 1945. He was placed on the Retired List on 10 August, 1963.[4]
