H.M.S. Antelope was one of 11 torpedo gunboats of the Alarm class.
Service
In August 1891, her construction continued after a fifteen month hiatus. The Times was by now referring to the entire Sharpshooter class as being "notoriously unsuccessful."[6]
Unlike her surviving sisters, Antelope was not converted to a minesweeper during the first decade of the twentieth century. Instead reduced to harbour service in 1910, serving at Devonport as a training ship. Sold to T. R. Sales for breaking up on 27 May, 1919.[7]
