Vice-Admiral SIR John Maurice Mansfield, K.C.B., D.S.O., D.S.C., R.N. (22 December, 1893 – 4 February, 1949) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Mansfield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1916.
Mansfield was appointed in command of the submarine H 42 on 7 October, 1918.[1]
Mansfield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1924.
Mansfield was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1929.
Mansfield was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1934. Appendicitis in 1936.
Mansfield was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 12 January, 1943.
Mansfield was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 15 September, 1946.
Mansfield died of colon cancer.
